How We Condition our Products

The best way to persuade you to purchase a bouquet, is by us displaying fresh bouquets that have not come into bloom yet. Customer satisfaction is in the longevity of the bouquet.

To make sure freshness and longevity of flowers are guaranteed, we start our conditioning first with selecting only the best quality stock that meet our high standard. Demanding only the best regardless of cost, to do this we have to use reputable suppliers with experience and knolwedge equal or better than our own.  We purchase our flowers from one of the best dutch wholesalers Barry Snapper who has the same attitude towards flowers as we do.  As a secondary (but not lower quality) we use a slightly more local supplier called Pages of Merthyr to obtain our daily top ups and the majority of our sundries.

Each flower has its own specific requirements. We use Chrysal flower food to keep all our stock in the best possible condition, many florists still do not use flower food in their shop vases/buckets etc, in this day and age this is a very bad practice flowers need to feed and the chrysal flower food not only feeds the stock but also keeps the water clear of unwanted bacteria.   At our shop we have invested a lot of time and money into making sure our stock meets the customers high standards.  A large chiller to keep the stock at optimum temperature even during the hot summer months, an air conditioner keeps the shop at a reasonable temperature for that stock that is not suited for a chiller (exotics, Gerbera etc).  Our VASES are washed on a weekly basis using Chrysal Bucket cleaner to keep them free from bacteria,  our water is plumbed directly into a Dosing unit that actually MEASURES the correct amount of flower food and adds it direct to the water supply so no mistakes can be made (over feeding can be just as bad as under feeding).

The importance of hygiene is sometimes overlooked.  Clean working tools (for example knives, buckets, tables, cold stores) contribute to better flower quality and less waste and Chrysal Cleaner is an excellent product for this purpose.

The final step in the beauty of flowers is in the consumer’s vase. Providing the most appropriate vase flower food in a sachet or liquid stick will extend the bouquets life AND your satisfaction!

Chrysal Clear Professional 2 Classic is a conditioner for use during transport and in store.

General
Chrysal Clear Professional 2 Classic is a conditioning product for all cut flowers and can be used in a cold and/or ambient environment. This product contains just enough nutrients for the natural development of the flowers, without stimulating a full development in this part of the chain. It stimulates water uptake and keeps flowers and foliage in an optimum condition. Thus reducing waste by an average of 50% instead of only water. It can be dosed easily, automatically.
